The New
Wave.
Enhance. Empower. Equip.
An after-school home for young kings and queens in Aiken, South Carolina — where the hours after the last bell are spent building something.
The hours right after the last bell are when kids are most likely to be unsupervised — and when juvenile crime and victimization peak.
From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, this is where those hours go instead — supervised, structured, and spent on the person each kid is becoming.
Peak-risk window per the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention — a fact about teenagers in general, not a claim about our own outcomes.
